Once-ler stopped when he saw the two by the river. “Hello!” He called cheerfully. Milo made an unhappy noise when he spotted the dog, hackles raising slightly. Once-ler noticed his discomfort and petted him reassuringly.
Kitten turned towards the voice calling after her. She smiled and waved, “Hey there, stranger.” Joey overheard voices and turned his attention away from the humming fish to the two newcomers. He noticed a cat in the mans arms, instantly giving a low growl before pouncing forward. Kitten quickly tried to grab the curious yorkie but he wrestled out of her hands and ran towards them.
Milo let out a hiss and climbed onto Once-ler’s head, glaring down at Joey. Once-ler laughed nervously. “It’s okay Milo.” He said. Milo ignored him. Once-ler turned his attention down to Joey, eyeing him warily.
